The message from these incredible women is loud and clear: RV tech training is a
game-changer if you love RVing! It’s not just about wrenches and wires; it’s about
confidently driving into the future with tools in hand. These women turned technicians
share that the skills gained from being able to maintain and repair one’s own RV is a
great way to boost your confidence on the road, or even in an all-new career.
Brenda and Dana say the time has never been better to jump into the field. “The need is
there and the customers are there,” says Brenda. “Whether it is an educational program
or service that is provided, women are looking for other women to hire. The connections
are just waiting to happen and the RV industry has been slow to realize the impact
women have in purchasing, maintaining and working in the field.” Dana wholeheartedly
agrees, adding, “I say go for it! Many of my past clients chose me for my gender. As
women themselves, they felt more comfortable working with me, especially if they were
solo females. For anyone interested in learning more about becoming an RV
Technician, I would reach out to someone already in the industry. It would be worth
discussing your goals and the different avenues you can take to achieve them.”
So, ladies, are you ready to trade “My RV is broken again” for “Watch me fix this!”? The
time is now to embrace your inner technician, learn your rig inside and out, and
confidently cruise down the road less traveled. You’ve got this, Queen Bees, and the
open road is waiting!
