While recently filling out an application for another fun RV side hustle, I was asked to tell the interviewers about myself in a series of fun facts. What? How cool?! I had never done something like this and had so much fun compiling the list! Here’s what I shared:
- Born and bred Okie! Aside from that radar blip in my young 20s when I followed my brother’s rock band to LA in the 80s (who didn’t, right?), I have spent all 54 years in Oklahoma.
- Worked for Rodney Dangerfield – I reported to his manager doing usual and unusual office and errand type things when he was producing some of your fave movies and HBO specials. Once I had to recruit a kitten for an HBO sketch which I promptly took home and named it Thrasher.
- Although we never had kids, I coached cheerleaders and dancers for 20 years, so I was able to be “Mom” to 300+ young ladies many of whom I am still in touch with to this date.
- I have taken classes from a Master Wine Sommelier (Randa Warren) for 13 years and even became certified on a baby Sommelier level years ago.
- We live on 30 acres of waterfront/woods/farm near Grand Lake of the Cherokees in NE Oklahoma, we have his and hers ATV buggies, a tractor that I know how to operate, AND I still get my lashes and nails done every two weeks. Gotta keep things balanced!
- Sirius XM Yacht Rock is my current jam, and I also love bluegrass, all jazz, heavy metal/hard rock, and classic country.
Just when you think your life is mundane compared to others, you realize you have some fun things to share and experience with the world!
What are some fun facts about you that others might not even know? Share below if you dare!
